How To Get High End Products For Pennies On The Dollar
Creating your own products to launch and sell can take time and a lot of money. What if I told you that you could get high end products for pennies of what it really costs to make the products, have the sales materials made such as banners, videos, email swipes, etc.
You could spend tens of thousands of dollars on expenses for software development, eBook ghostwriters, banner design and development, sales video copy-writing and production, or you can simply buy the white label version of software, eBooks, etc.
Buying the white label version of any product can cost anywhere from a couple hundred for an eBook, to a couple thousand for high quality software white label products. What if I told you there is a way you can get them for pennies on the dollar? Would you jump on the opportunity to have all of this done for you? Keep reading and I'll explain why this post could help you make the money you want to make easier and cheaper than you have ever thought possible.
Product Creation Basic Steps
For those of you that have never created a product before in the intent to sell the product online I'm going to tell you the steps you need to take in order to create and sell that product successfully online. You will see by the time I'm done telling you these steps that there is an easier and more lucrative way to get already made and ready to sell products.
Step #1. Do Your Niche Research
I know, research is a bad term for most people, but I happen to like doing research of any kind. You get to know quite a lot about a niche and the people who are interested in that particular niche or product.
You will want to first get an idea of what type of product or products are in medium to high demand. If you aren't concerned with making thousands upon thousands of dollars per month and just want a few extra bucks to take your special someone out to dinner or to a movie you can choose to focus on smaller niches, but below you will find the big niches that people are really concentrating on when it comes to big time selling products.
- Relationship Guides
- Weight Loss
- Make Money Online
- Home Business
- Pets Training or Other Products
- Parenting How To
- Software Of Any Kind
- Mentoring - Coaching
If the niche you choose doesn't have at least 10,000 - 50,000 searches per month, don't waste your time with that niche. Unless of course you are in the category of just wanting some beer, dinner, and movie money. The next step is of course more research.
Step #2 Products Keyword Research
Doing research on your products keywords is essential. This is where most people get it all wrong when it comes to their research. You don't want to go after keywords that are going to be virtually impossible to rank for unless you have an extremely high ranking website to begin with. Let's face it, most website's can't just pick a keyword that has huge search numbers and high competition and rank it right out of the gate as soon as they publish the page.
You want to focus on related terms that have a good search volume and low competition. The reason for this is that it's easier to get yourself on the first page of the search engines for words that these higher ranking websites go after and obtain on a regular basis.
For example, you wouldn't use a search term that gets 500,000 searches a month and is a high competition keyword. You would look for a similar term that has between 10,000 and 100,000 searches per month with a low competition.
Of course you may not get on the first page, but you stand a better chance of getting on page 1 if you use these lower competition terms. You will also get lower traffic, but you will get traffic. That's the point. If you use high competition keywords with a low ranking website, you will get exactly zero traffic.
Step #3 Actually Creating Your Products
There are several ways you can create your products. First off, you can create them yourself. If you are creating software and you are a software engineer, good for you, you can make a killing very easily using your own skills. If not, and you want to create software get ready to spend some serious cash to have top quality software developed for you.
You can also create simple info products by creating eBooks, videos, and audios. This is where most product creators start out at and progress to the software after they've launched a few products and made enough money to have software developed for them.
Writing an eBook, creating videos, and audios is pretty straight forward and easy to do. There are tons of free software out there to help you do these things. Freemake is a software I use to convert video to audio. This saves you from having to record an extra audio from your videos. All you have to do is create the video and Freemake extracts the audio from the video and boom within a few seconds you got your audio.
Ebook products, again pretty simple to make. All you need is a PDF software and type it all out. Just make sure you format it correctly with all the good stuff such as images, page numbers, glossary, disclaimer, etc. You can sit and write an eBook in a day. The best practice for an eBook selling at $27.00 is between 40-100 pages. It's not as hard as it seems. If you can write an in depth blog post, you can write an eBook.
If you don't want to do any of the creation yourself, you can outsource all of this. Keep in mind, for quality you will be paying the price for it. Sometimes thousands of dollars for any of the above. If you want to make great selling info products you will create an eBook that is accompanied by at least training videos. If you want to give your products even more value add accompanying audio to the eBook and videos so they can listen to them while doing what ever they want to do.
Always keep in mind no matter how you get the products created you will be paying a cost for them. Either through software you purchase to help you create them, outsourcing costs, or time spent actually creating your products.
Step #4 Creating Your Products Sales Materials
If you have been on the internet at all which you obviously are, you will have undoubtedly seen sales banners like the one at the top of this page. Go ahead, click it. You will be taken to another website where that particular product is being sold.
You will need many different sized banners for your affiliates and you to use to sell your products. You will need at least one banner design in many different sizes for each of your products.
Again, you can create these banners yourself using many different banner making software programs out there, or you can pay to have these done for you. You will again pay hundreds of dollars to have these made for you. You may luck out and find a banner designer on Fiverr for less, but of course as with anything else, you get what you pay for. Don't be disappointed with the results if you pay a lower price for your designs.
Next you will need your sales pages, which will of course mean you will need a website. There is no getting around this. If you don't already have a website now you will either have to spend the time and money to do this yourself, or hire someone like me to create them for you.
I create blog networks, and they are starting to make a come back. Even after the big Google slap back in 2012. If you are looking for great website design, just click here and I'll get you all set up.
Your sales pages need a sales video and you can do this all yourself, but if you don't know how to write a sales copy I highly recommend you spend the couple hundred dollars to have someone do this for you. Getting things wrong at this point will lead to you wasting all of your time and money making a great product but getting zero sales.
Next you will need email swipes for your affiliates and JVs to use in their email promotions. These are simple sales emails that you write up and put on your website so they can copy and paste them into an email broadcast to their list of subscribers.
Step #5. Setting Up Your Products On JVzoo Or Clickbank
This step can be confusing and time consuming, but this is the best way to go about selling your products online. Using JVzoo and/or Clickbank will help you to get affiliates and JVs to promote your products for you and get you many more sales than you could do by yourself unless you have a huge marketing budget.
You will need to set up your accounts with one or both of these companies and then set up your seller account and add your products to their seller dashboard. JVzoo is free to sell your products, Clickbank does charge a $49.00 fee to register and approve your product for sale. Both are great choices to sell your products on though.
You will also want to set up your sales funnels no matter which one you are using. Your sales funnel will have 1-3 products in the funnel. The funnel allows you to make more than one sale and helps to increase your return on your investment.
You will want to keep all the products in the funnel in the same niche. For example if you are selling a weight loss plan, you will have up sales or down sales of similar products such as recipe books or additional work out videos etc.
The more affiliates you have the better your launch will be and I recommend setting the affiate commissions between 50%-75% and some even set them at 100%. The choice is up to you, but the higher the commissions, the higher number of affiliates and JVs will promote your product.
Step #6. Time To Announce Your Products Launch
Now it's time to get affiliates and JVs interested in promoting your products. You have two choices here. You can just wait and hope that affiliates and JVs find your products in the market places on JVzoo and Clickbank, or you can let them all know of your products and hopefully get some good affiliates and JVs to promote your products.
One of the most effective ways of announcing your products launches, is to announce them on affiliate and JV launch pages and groups on Facebook. You will ask to join the groups and once you join you can post your announcements.
Keep in mind that most require a specific format for announcements so make sure you read their requirements before you post your launch announcements. To sweeten the deal for affiliates and JVs, most expect a contest or two to add to their ROI.
For example you can have a $2000 contest in which the awards for the top 5 - 10 sellers get split. This again is up to you on how you do this. You can also set a reserve for that contest to make sure you will have the cash to pay out for the winners. You will set this reserve at what you would make after so many sales and after paying out commissions.
For example, you have a $47.00 product, your affiliate gets 50% commission so you would need to sell at least 86 in order to have the $2000 to pay out to the winners of the contest. If you have great products and great affiliates and JVs this won't be an issue.
Now that you have seen everything you have to do and all the expense that you could incur simply creating one product, how would you like to know how you can get top quality, white label products that you can resell at a fraction of the price it would cost you to do this all yourself?
